Draconian Devils makes it to the top, winning the combined NC Final and AnBBL Champions' Final.
Humbar Spickyballs is the first to get his hands on the AnBBL Champions' Trophy, making him one of the most valuable players or a moment! (as the trophy is made of solid gold..)
Having played only 6 games, a punishment of 12 points is deducted from Duftham Skulltakers' league points, hence dropping below the fine line of playoff attendance.
Unmatematical fans go wild, not understanding why a team with only to wins and no fan favourite like Draconian Devils come to the playoffs over the team that roster the most bruitish and wild player in the league.

A Facelift...
Well, as everybody knows a facelift does'nt always make things better looking...
Anyways, this front page with the Info&News have had a minor facelift, now containing banners for each winner of the AnBBL Champions' Trophy, linked to the final result board of the corresponding season. The banner will be marked with an AnBBL coin to the upper right if a team has won the AnBBL Champions' Trophy on a coin toss.
Also a guest book banner has been added to the top left of the same page.
In a week or so, the trophy picture will be updated as well - with the new module attatched to it.

Some kind a monster
Watch in awe as Khorne Colossus lay destruction everywhere in his path, and follow this exiting season to see if the bounty on him will be claimed.
Some speculate that Khorne Colossus might be the Chaos God in person, and not just named after the mighty god of anger, violence and hate.
Whatever Khorne Colossus might be, he is a legend in the making, already responsible for three deaths and 5 other casualities this season, having played only two games!

AnBBL Season VIII Opened
With the biggest ALPHA SOUTH group so far, this will be an interresting season. 7 teams battle to win our trophy, wich this season will be a new one as the old one has run out of space for team logos.
It is uncerttain if there will be an ALPHA NORTH group this season though, and if it will be it'll probably be a very small one.

AnBBL Champions Season VII
Congrats to Duftham Skulltakers who won this seasons AnBBL Champions Final, also beeing match number 500 in the AnBBL history.
The wildcard Horrid SkinEaters did not exploit their chance to beat them, entering the elite playoffs after "winning" the SC Semi Pro group.

A Legend is born
For the first time ever in AnBBL history a player has developed into a living legend (at least for now...). Fluffy Papaya outsmarted the promising Willy Vånd for the epic achievement. Fluffy Papaya has scored 70 SPPs this season- so far. Let´s hope he avoids the destiny of the emerging star Hihahneas Holytackle.
Hannibal Hector only said "Scheisse" in a brief comment when he overheard the news, and that is German for "Congratulations" for those of you that is not familiar with the language.

Rusty Skull Cup 2009
This years Spring Semi Pro Tournament will be the Rusty Skull Cup.
Hosted by the South Conference.
Coaches and teams should book April 9th in their calendars, as the whole day (from around 10.00 until midnight) will be used for the southern semi pro cup of the year.
It's an open tournament for all non elite teams, and will consist of around 4 rounds of matches.
The place for battle will be at Skullerud, Oslo - more details inside our forums.

With his 114 SPPs, Asbadd Branchgleam at the time of death was ranked as the second most experienced player in the AnBBL.
This death shows that every player, no matter his/her skills, are vulnerable.

"The Leap of death!"
... he did'nt make it.
Fans mourn as the awe inspiring leader of Wychwetyl's Troupe failed the most spectacular attempt to stop an opposing ballcarrier so far in AnBBL history. The leap was to dangerous though, even for an agile woodelf, causing the instant death of Wychwetyl.

AnBBL MVPs awarded
The MVP OFFENCE and MVP DEFENCE prizes have been awarded for all finished seasons.
This is due to the "Player awards" function becoming fully functional.

da Keffo Kup finished
da Keffo Kup finished with an underdog team beating the pre tourney favourites in the Final, awarding "da Golden Keffo Orc" to Firey Tigers.
A spectacular bronze final too, almost ending in a win for a halfling team, but Wooden Halftree lost the medal to Blackheart Heralds on a penalty shootout!
Our second most experienced player in the league, Gurgoile, was killed by Weedy in Jungelfeber - Lords of the Pit(Season VI, SC3). Despite his experience of 85 SPPs, Gurgoile was not clever enough to dodge the overgrown and dangerous lizzard..
Remark: In only two ALPHA games, two highly respected players are already dead. How's that for brutality and showmanship!

Season VI started - first blood!
The first ALPHA game of season VI, da Sneaky Runtz - BATtling Cobras(Season VI, NC1), was played 2008.08.13 and kickstarted the largest AnBBL according to schedule so far.
In this game the most dangerous player kill wize, Iggipiggi, was himself killed - rewarding BATtling Cobras the 40000gp bounty. Iggipiggi will be rememberd for his heroic effort in season IV, killing 3 players, his victims beeing Gerbert, Jingu and Haluelie von Coldcurse(the vampire regenerated though). That's not bad for a goblgobl(in)!
Strangely even da Sneaky Runtz seemed relieved when Iggipiggi's time of death was announced, and some speculations have been made whether the apothecary's injecton had been tampered with or not...
Nonetheless - a great warrior will be greatly missed by the AnBBL fans!
Heimlich von Doom outsmarted everybody in SC, and surprisingly won the South Conference not with Azgorh Ravens, as predicted, but with the higly agile, leaping Bordellaux Broncos.
In the Final, however, The Ref refused to be run over (or certainly not leapt over) by fragile elves, and he finally ended up winning 3-2. Congratulations once again.
The official calculation of the AnBBL MVP Offence and AnBBL MVP Defence for season V, will be done when resetting the season after the AnBBL Champions' Final.
Just to let you know how it's looking though, here's the calculations for today, June 27th. Just to let you know what the players need to do to become MVP's :)
The teams playing each Semi Final will be decided by a lot at the start of the respective playoffs.
* Ballistic Angels cannot participate, whoever gets them as opponent will "win" the Semi Final by walkover, though no game will be recorded, and the team will not earn winnings, TD's or other "playing the game perks". The same goes for the NC team getting to the bronze final.
All playoff games must be added as a result no later than July 13th.

The Punishment Season V
For season V, 8 games never got played. 1 in ALPHA SOUTH OSLO, and 7 in ALPHA NORTH. In ALPHA SOUTH HAMAR all the scheduled games were played :)
Per the agreement mentioned at the bottom line in the entry forms for the alpha seasons, a fine sounding 20 000gp have been issued to the teams per match they did not play.
From now on it is possible to get excited even when other coaches are playing, since you can bet on the outcome of the game. You can also enhance the excitement for yourself by betting in one of your own matches, but if this is the case you are restricted to bet that you beat your opponent.
This is an excellent way for earning cash for bruised teams ;)
As a test odds have been set for the match <no such match> in the thread "Die Buchmacher". Later on focus will be on the semis and finals in both SC and NC. For the next seasons it will also be possible to bet on the finalists and final result in the lague, but this has to be done before the first A-match for the season is played.

The ultimate prize money!
Beeing the most WANTED player in the AnBBL, Hrolf is now worth his weight in gold.
A 150 000gc bounty has been issued to permanently taking him out of action, as he is the only player illegally attending the AnBBL (as per the LRB5 rules). By taking out of action we're meaning kill.
Regular play for the AnBBL Season V, ALPHA GROUPS, ends at June the 20th.
All scheduled games should be played by then, or take your punishments as men.

Variety of the League
There are now 40 teams in the League, representing 19 different races. That´s not bad, considering there are only 21 official races playing Blood Bowl. The only races missing in the league are Amazon and Halfling (not really, for the latter one).
The most popular race in the League are Skaven, with 12,5% of the total teams, followed by Necromantic and Orc, both with 10%. Another relatively popular option is Chaos, Dark Elf, Human and Norse, each with a 7,5% share of the total number of participants.

Our very own SUPER STAR
Willy Vånd is the first player in the AnBBL's history beeing a SUPER STAR. He has outrun the leagues first star Ivan Shureglove by 14 SPPs, and will probably continiue increasing the gap to the players behind him on the list of AnBBL's most experienced players. (Unless someone cash in that bounty, eherm...)
There's a lot of emerging stars in the league too. Players like the agile Alatuah Battlepotion, the allrounder Ianus von Fogspirit and the confident Busbyr are only a few examples amongst many emerging stars.
Time will tell who will live to be the first AnBBL Legend, so stay tuned!

AnBBL Season V
The season has been initiated.
All coaches should read the Checklist for arranging their matches.
In an effort to make teams more friendly against eachother, a joint AnBBL coin has been produced to symbol their shared interests.
The coin will be free for all 2.nd season participating coaches (exept the 100 000gp administration fee).

NC Final tonight
Fans of both Purple Bluebirds and Wychwetyl's Troupe may come and visit the "Red Skullz Arena" tonight at 2020 to see the mentioned teams battle out the NC Final of Season IV.
There will be no NC third place match, unless it can be played and registered before this wednesday 23:59hrs.
The AnBBL will be closed for a week from wednesday. In this period the coaches should enter their elite teams for season V, no games will be registered.
All other teams will automatickly be entered in the semi pro's league, unless their coach tell me to retire them.

Nearing end of season IV
The season is almost over, only awaiting the two last matches in NC playoffs. The problems with Kadrin Kazad (beeing currently closed cause of water in the main tunnel) cause the AnBBL Champions' Final having to be decided by a lot. This will be done shortly before season V is initiated.
Pre season matches (too get your elite teams a few practice matches) are now allowed. Use the forum to request them if you want to play them :) (This means the elite teams are not locked to play other elite teams, but can play any team for the sake of practice)
Theese matches will not give you points or a trophy, but will help your players improve / retire ;)
Planned opening of next season is February 1st.

Low activity
We're just waiting for Ballistic Angels - Wychwetyl's Troupe(Season IV, NC Semi Final) to be played, before we will play the reamaining NC playoff games and hopefully the AnBBL Champions' Final.
Then we will reset the seasons, and start over again medio February.
With 6 cancelled games, North Conference gets fined a total 360 000 gp, of wich 260 000gp are paid by the teams and 100 000 gp paid by AnBBL Staff
South Conference is the most playing conference this season, with only 4 games cancelled. The total fine is 280 000 gp, 140 000 paid by the teams, 140 sponsored by AnBBL Staff.
The players above has a price tag on their heads, go collect it :)

Season IV playoffs
The last week of "AnBBL season IV" is soon over.
Next week the playoffs begin. Scheduled ALPHA matches not played by then, will be dealth with according to "The Punishment". There will be no minimum of matches demanded to attend the playoffs, the current standings next tuesday will apply.
Each conference's playoffs should be done within the weekend of week 48.

NAF Blood Bowl World Cup
Congrat's to Casper and his fellow Aros coaches, who got the silver in the NAF World cup. (20. -21. October 07)

Co Commish
High Liche priest of the South Conference, coach Capshaw, is now upgraded to Co Commish.
He will get the responsobility to set the ALPHA SOUTH schedule, add BRAVO SOUTH games and help approving the AnBBL match results.

Our second star has emerged!
By scoring 5 TD's in Ratten Kameraten - Iron Rock 69'ers(Season IV, SC 3), Willy Vånd is the second player of the AnBBL ever to reach status as a STAR. With 15 TD's total, and 59 SPPs - Willy Vånd at this time also is the second most top scoring and second most experienced player in the AnBBL, an achievement worth celebrating as Willy Vånd first entered the AnBBL in season III.
In an exclusive interview, the first star of AnBBL had this to say: "I congratulate my new rival - it's great to have another experienced ball handler at top of things. Hopefully we'll live on to get amazing careers the both of us." - Ivan Shureglove

The elites on the roll.
The first games in both ALPHA NORTH and ALPHA SOUTH have been played, and the rest of round 1 games are to be played in short time.
A few disputes between the coaches have delayed the final match results from beeing implemented, but it's expected that the coaches will agree and confirm the results any time soon.
The AnBBL snowball has been pushed outside the snow-covered mountain!
AnBBL Season IV will be opened tomorrow with a round of Semi Pro games for NC.
Would be cool if the SC Semi Pro's also had a round of matches this week, so use the forum to register game requests folks!
I'll work on the schedule during week 35.

New functions
The website just keep on improving, thanx Casper.
Now we can make our own custom trophies, and show up to three teams in the right coloumn. Currently we're only showing the AnBBL Champions, but later maybe the winnner of some famous Semi Pro's cup also will have it's logo nailed to the board.

AnBBL Champions
Purple Bluebirds won the AnBBL Champions' Final, and are the current champions of AnBBL. They'll get the advantages that followes owning the AnBBL Champions' Trophy (as long as they remember to bring it along).
On July 19th, the South Conference playoffs will be held at Stange, hosted by coach of Ratten Kameraten.
The games will be randomly decided by a lot, as soon as the last game of the season, Elve Elegante - Lords of the Pit(Season III, SC round 5), is played. This game is played July 18th - kickoff 2200.
The two semi finals will be played with kickoff about 2200 hours.
The two winning teams will go to the finals, with kickof about 0100 hours, the two loosing teams fight for the bronze trophy at the same time.
Duftham Skulltakers sadly leaves the AnBBL before the playoffs, moving their skull hunting grounds to a distant realm.

Hi there again coaches.
Due to a slow start in the North Conference I summon you all to come and play a match at my place on wednesday (June 27th). Lets try and get some "phutt and fart" into the AnBBL once again ;)
The first half of the schedule for Season III is ready.
The dates can be found by pressing "Running Season" and then "Matches"
The set date marks the start of each round, and the round is terminated (needs to be finished) by the start of the next round.
The semi pro's groups don't play by a schedule, but arrange their own matches. Use the forum "AnBBL - Match request" to announce your games.

The first game in South Conference have been played, and a game in the semi pro's league up north too.
This marks the starting point of season III.

Season III coming up!
Be shure to enter your teams into Season III of AnBBL. Log on and press the "enter season" button next to your team. Max two teams per coach per conference - one for the elite division, and one for the Semi Pro's division.
All players with Miss Next Game should have recovered for the season opening,the Ms beeing erased.
The season has ended. The last game between Lucky 13 and Wychwetyl's Troupe was cancelled due to family increase, a lucky strike for Ballistic Angels who's now ensured a place in the playoffs.
Who meets who for the Semi finals will be decided randomly by a "lottery" May 11th.

Finally - a new invention!
Photo sessions are set up all over the old world, as the new invention - a photon aparatus - is taken into use.
Now I, the commish, can upload player pictures for a more suiting profile on the AnBBL players. By editing a players profile, the coach can select the uploaded pictures.

Suddenly a playoff may be held for season 2 on Saturday May 19th... This in an attempt to snatch the current champions title under the southern teams' noses.
The playoffs might be postponed until first chance a southern team can attend,or working LRB5 online resources are awailable, but this is very unlikely...

Hi there again coaches.

Norse retirements
Catchers and Ogres with Norse are to be phased out as soon as possible.

Kick off tourney - February 16th.
This years kickoff for AnBBL will be held 16th of February at Setermoen. (Interested? Email me)
It'll be a knock out tournament, with a time limit of 1 hour per game, though normal time for the Final. So it'll be speedy, and you might not get to play the game to tha finish. This is due to limited amount of time. Only one team per coach, sign up via the administration menu (Enter a team to season one).
Rules as stated in the League Rules menu.
The trophy will be revealed before the final.
Tip: Plan your players skill choices, so it's fast and furious to update the team rosters after each game.

Our league goes from beeing administrated by excell and our forum, to this new homepage. Hopefully this will make it easier for everybody to follow the progress in our league :)
