Beeing the current AnBBL Champions, Purple Bluebirds naturally attracted the most fans. Despite the fame, 4 Purple Bluebirds players had to sit this one out due to injuries in the previous match da Kruncha Bunch - Purple Bluebirds (Season IV, NC 1). This howerer left Purple Bluebirds in an underdog position against Lucky 13. Purple Bluebirds won the cointoss and kicked off in first half.

Beeing short of players this match, <no such player> also chose to use his apothecary on a badly hurt Eightball McClansman early in the first half. This proved usefull and Eightball McClansman contributed to a great Purple Bluebirds passing game. This decission could have proved fatal though, as Lucky 13 broke a lot of armour rolls. Luckily for Purple Bluebirds they never scored very high on the injury results!
