The first semi finals of the north conference.
A lot of fans show up to view the action at the home stadium of Doxic Avengers. The disturbing crew win the cointoss leaving it to the Bowl Brothers to kick the ball.
The Ref fail miserably arguing a call during turn one, when a runt is expelled for fouling, and is himself also sent to the bleachers. This leaves the assistant runt coach (famously dancing on top of the Bowl Brothers' logo) in charge for the remainder of the game.. The runt assistant is well prepared though, having payed enough motivational bounties to keep St Pete the Putrid prone for the most of the game and the Bowl Brothers' focus on the pitch.
This does not stop the return team though, and during first half St Carrion the Addled runs the ball into the endzone for a Doxic Avengers lead. A couple turns for the ogres to try and counter is no impossible task, but the practiced throw-teammate tactics fail as a fumble ends the half.
At the start of the second half, a toxic kick out of bounce gives Hollerfist the opportunity to run the ball in from the touchback. Four turns, and several bashed players later, the six ogres have steam rolled their way into the endzone for the tie, 1-1.
During the following kickoff the fans want their piece of the bounty, throwing a rock at St Pete the Putrid stunning him and leaving that flank open. Still, the Avengeres run the ball to that side of the field. The Ogres reorganize, blitz and frees the ball. Sir Knobb Bullian picks it up, but is still to far away for a touchdown, in stead planning a handoff play. Then, he's blitzed.. Sidestepping the blitz, runt Sir Knobb Bullian is within reach of the endzone! he goes for it.. again.. a last second touchdown for the win! |
